In this session, Wesley will highlight the important role science communication plays in bringing Indigenous science into university spaces. He will share the journey of Stoodis Science in bringing traditional science through hide tanning and snowshoe making to TMU, while discussing approaches to bringing Indigenous science to both Indigenous community members and the general public.

Twice Colonized follows Aaju Peter’s lifelong fight for the rights of her people as she strives to reclaim her language and identity after a lifetime of whitewashing and forced assimilation. This film is also the winner of numerous awards including 2023 Best Feature Documentary (HotDocs) and 2023 Grand Pix Nordic Documentary (Oslo Pix Film Festival).
