SJE Ph.D. Candidate Hayley Brooks Receives U of T Award for Scholarly Achievement in the Area of Gender-Based Violence!
Dear SJE Community,
We are pleased to share the news that SJE Ph.D. Candidate Hayley Brooks is the recipient of the University of Toronto Award for Scholarly Achievement in the Area of Gender-Based Violence! This graduate Award was established by the University of Toronto in memory of the 14 women who died tragically at the Ecole Polytechnique on December 6, 1989. It is awarded annually to a graduate student who demonstrates scholarly excellence in research focusing on understanding, prevention, and/or intervention in the area of violence against women and girls and/or against trans and gender non-binary people.
Congratulations to Hayley on this important award! The award ceremony and special is today at the Hart House on St. George Campus at 12:30 in person and live streaming.
