The Centre for Integrative Anti-Racism Studies (CIARS) at the University of Toronto, in collaboration with its partners, will host a transformative two-week Summer Institute in Accra, Ghana from August 9-24, 2025.

On June 8th, 2024, Algoma University bestowed an honourary Doctorate of Social Work on renowned scholar, educator, researcher, and writer George Safa Dei, PhD during the class of 2024 convocation ceremony on the Sault Ste. Marie campus.

On May 6th, 2024, UNISA conferred the degree Doctor of Philosophy in Education on Professor George Sefa Dei in recognition of the national and international impact of his scholarly pursuits, within and beyond the realm of academia, and his lifelong quest for answers to global educational challenges.
